As adults, you are the only ones that can insist on professional, non-abusive peer behavior. We are counting on you to insist your peers abide by all the best standards of care towards athletes and need to trust you will forsake all and remove the abusive coaches in our industry, permanently. Stop sacrificing athletes welfare to protect your peers. We are requesting a complete outside audit of all governing entities for their reporting pathways. If the pathway allows for internal reporting of any kind, this means it is circular and there is no incentive to clean up the sport. The audit plan is for our protection as athletes. The current system allows those U.S. coaches who are silently removed for abuse and go overseas and abuse with no recourse. The current system allows gym owners to stay silent and not speak out against their peers. This must change now.
